沉积学分析室

简介

实验室主要功能是进行各类样品的矿物结构分析，主量元素分析和粒度分析。分析室包含一个仪器间和两个前处理间，位于临港校区的实验楼3楼，于2016年建成。

主要仪器

实验室主要有3台大型仪器：X射线衍射仪（XRD），X射线荧光光谱仪（XRF）和激光粒度仪。

XRD仪

品牌：PANalytical（帕纳科），购自2010年，仪器型号：X'pert Pro，Cu靶Kα辐射，工作电压电流45kV，40mA，带自动进样装备，一次可进样45个。主要进行样品矿物结构分析。目前实验室开展的矿物成分分析包括两个方面，一是粘土粒级的矿物成分分析，主要测试数据是四种典型粘土矿物（蒙脱石、伊利石、绿泥石和高岭石）的相对含量，目前这一方面已发表多篇国内外高质量论文。另一方面是全岩矿物成分分析，主要分析样品中所有存在的矿物组分，检测限在5%以上，另有少数衍射能力强的矿物物相如石英等，即使含量低至1%左右也能分析出。

品牌：PANalytical（帕纳科），购自2013年，仪器型号：Axios，Rh靶辐射，带自动进样装备，一次可自动进样48个。主要进行元素含量分析。主要的样品前处理有压片和熔片两种方式。其中压片需要干样3.5-5g，熔片需要干样0.7g。分析的样品种类主要是天然沉积物样品，包括硅酸盐类和碳酸盐类。

激光粒度仪

品牌：BECKMAN（贝克曼），购自2001年。仪器型号：LS-230。测试粒径范围：0.04um--2.000um。主要测试样品中的粒径范围。所需样品，约0.2g干样。

Sedimentology Lab

Introduction

The Sedimentology Laboratory was set up in 2016, and is opened mainly to academic users for the analysis of quantitative mineralogy, major elements content and grain size. Including one instrument room and two pretreatment room.

Instruments

There are three instruments: X-ray powder diffraction instrument (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF) and Laser particle size analyzer.

XRD instrument

Instrument brand:PANalytical. Instrument model: X'pert Pro. Run at 45 kV, 40 mA, Cukα. It was bought on 2010 with automatic sample changers and it could load 45 samples every times.

Two types of mineral component was applied in this lab. One is clay mineral analysis, the result will show the relative component of four different clay mineral such as smectite, illite, chlorite and kaolinite. Untill now many papers on this research has been published.The other analysis is about quantitative mineralogy on bulk samples, the result will show all the mineral content measured by the instruments if the content is higher than 5%. And few samples could be measured when the content is lower such as 1%.

Instrument brand:PANalytical. Instrument model: Axios with Rh target. It was bought on 2013 with automatic sample changers and it could load 48 samples every times. It was mainly used to analysis the major elements content. Two different pretreatment, one is pressured samples (need 3.5-5g dry samples) and the other is fuzing samples (need 0.7g dry samples). Natural sediment samples are acceptable such as silicate and carbonate.

Laser particle size analyzer

Instrument brand: BECKMAN. Instrument model: LS-230. It was bought on 2001 and the measure range of grain size is 0.04μm--2.000μm. It need 0.2g dry sample.
