报告人简介：
Mitch Lyle教授博士毕业于Oregon State University，先后在Oregon State University、Lamont - Doherty Earth Observatory-Columbia University、Boise State University和Texas A&M University任教工作，现为Oregon State University教授。曾任大洋钻探167航次，199航次和321航次首席。在国际知名期刊Nature, Science, Nature Geoscience, Geology, Geophysical Research Letters, Paleoceanography, Quaternary Science Reviews, Earth and Planetary Science Letters, Reviews of Geophysics等发表多篇高质量文章。
Mitch Lyle教授擅长用沉积物组成和沉积模式重建新生代到全新世的地球系统。目前主要致力于通过XRF岩芯扫描，地球化学指标等进行中新世以来赤道太平洋沉积通量，生产力以及碳循环研究。
