Deepsea Exploration Pavilion is the second platform of marine public education at Tongji Univ., demonstrating the forefront of marine science and the latest marine technology, aiming on marine-science public education.
Deepsea Exploration Pavilion bases on the strong scientific research background of the School of Ocean and Earth Sciences Tongji Univ. and State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology, and supports of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, Yangpu District Science and Technology Commission and Tongji University Science and Technology Department.
Deep-sea Exploration Pavilion was founded in November 29, 2014. T It takes an area of nearly 500 square meters and contains five parts: Discovery in the Ocean, Deep Sea Exploration, Deep to the Abyss, New Vision and Reading the Deep Sea. With a large number of modern technologies such as acousto-optic display technology, each exhibition items are given vividness and interest, giving visitors a new multi-touch interactive experience. You can not only admire the submarine hydrothermal phantom emanating from the Black Chimney, a large number of rare and enchanting creatures active in the dark and deep sea, but also learn about the progress of mankind's exploration of the deep sea and the latest technologies and discoveries in the ocean.
